EPIFEED-MBF Marine Broodstock Feed is a major advancement in the feeding of adult shrimp and other marine animals. Traditional feeds, as currently produced, are hard in structure having been exposed to high heat, pressure and steam in their pelleting processes. Heat exposure degrades many essential nutrients as well as yielding an unpalatable, hard feed particle.

Epicore’s feeds are the result of advances made in modern biotechnology. In their manufacture, they are not subjected to high heat and pressure or to steam. Process conditions are selected that minimize degradation of delicate essential nutrients and micro-nutrients.

EPIFEED-MBF is formulated to be a complete diet for adult shrimp and marine animals. It is prepared with the best quality of marine and plant proteins, olefinic lipids, phospholipids, carbohydrates, vitamins and micro-nutrients.It also contains a flavor concentrate and a colorant to enhance feed attractiveness.

Application Suggestions

EPIFEED-MBF is normally fed after adult animals have been selected for maturation.Animals should be fed one or two times per day, following a regime similar to that of fresh natural feed. A good starting point for feed application quantity is 5% of animal biomass per day.

This guideline may need to be modified based on frequent observations of animal health, quality and feeding rate so that situations of over or under-feeding are avoided. Thus, the guideline should be adjusted to suit the particular circumstances of each maturation facility to optimize the feeding regime and cost-benefit.
